Facilities Services maintains a Small Works Roster of contractors per the authority of WAC 504-50 and RCW 39.04.151-152. When the estimated cost of any construction, building, renovation, remodeling, alteration, repair, or improvement of real property does not exceed three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000), excluding tax, the Department of Facilities Service at Washington State University, is authorized to use the Small Works Roster in lieu of public advertisement for bids.

The WSU Small Works Roster Manual linked below includes the application to apply to the roster, the General Conditions and Division 01 sections applicable to all projects that will be bid or Directed Contracted via the Small Works Roster between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026.  

Interested Contractors may apply to be on the roster at any time throughout the year.  Contractors are encouraged to apply between October and December for the upcoming roster year to have the best opportunity for projects in the upcoming roster year.
