Facilities Services maintains a Small Works Roster of contractors per the requirements of WAC 504-50-080. Whenever the estimated cost of any construction, building, renovation, remodeling, alteration, repair, or improvement of real property does not exceed three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000), excluding tax, the Department of Facilities Service at Washington State University, is authorized to use the Small Works Roster in lieu of public advertisement for bids.

The bidding documents attached below are available for all interested bidders and plancenters. The University does not provide printing services; it is the bidders responsibility to print the drawings to the appropriate scale indicated. We encourage the use of professional printing shops.

Project Scope: Construct 2.5 million gallon irrigation storage pond at orchard site with secondary pump system intended to be used as the main irrigation supply at Washington State University Wenatchee. Sealed bids are being requested by the Board of Regents of Washington State University, for the above referenced project.
Base Bid: Tear Off and New Roof Installation
The Food Service building is located on the Washington State University Campus in Pullman WA. This roof project will remove existing roofing system to metal deck (removal includes asbestos abatement of existing roofing components as outlined in the attached Good Faith Asbestos and Lead Survey by WSU) and install new fully adhered 60 mil non-reinforced EPDM single-ply membrane over new 5/8” cover board over new tapered polyisocyanurate rigid insulation over new vapor barrier (minimum roof slope-3/8”/ft). Design of new roofing system to conform to most current Carlisle Roofing (or approved equal) system requirements and details and WSU Standard roof replacement requirements. Design to be reviewed and approved by WSU Project Manager. Peak gust wind warranty to be for 100mph. Roofing area is approximately 32,200 square feet. Construction duration is 90 calendar days from the notice to proceed to Substantial Completion. Bidders cost estimates for this contract must be based on this contract time. Early completion schedules and/or costs based upon less than the calendar days stipulated herein will not be recognized.

Deductive Alternate No. 1: 115 Fleeceback Overlay
In lieu of removing and installing a new roof, overlay the existing modified bitumen roofing with 115 TPO Fleeceback membrane, mechanically fastened to the existing 32,200 square foot metal roof deck. Contractor shall perform a thermal scan of the roof prior to start of construction.
