WSU Facilities Services is taking precautions to limit exposure and impacts related to COVID-19.  Due to the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” mandate, pre-bid meetings and bid openings may only be attended via Zoom Video Conference/Phone Conference.  Each bidding project will have the Zoom meeting attendance information posted below.

In order to continue providing secure and effective meetings the University is requiring that Zoom be downloaded and installed via a computer client rather than connecting through a web browser plugin. WSU Small Works Roster

Facilities Services maintains a Small Works Roster of contractors per the requirements of WAC 504-50-080. Whenever the estimated cost of any construction, building, renovation, remodeling, alteration, repair, or improvement of real property does not exceed three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000), excluding tax, the Department of Facilities Service at Washington State University, is authorized to use the Small Works Roster in lieu of public advertisement for bids.

Bid – WSU Spokane HERB Cooling Tower Replacement
Bids have been received, thank you to all bidding contractors.  Bid Results available below. Project Scope:  The project will replace the existing cooling tower with two new fluid coolers.  Work will include the removal of the existing tower, condenser pumps, piping and foundations.  Project will also include all associated concrete foundations, piping, controls, pumps, water treatment system, valving, mechanical/electrical systems and associated fencing replacement required for the installation of the cooling towers and associated mechanical improvements.  There is one alternate for this project. Contract Substantial Completion shall be achieved by March 12, 2020.  Proposals MUST BE based on this Contract Time. Project Physical address: 655 N. Riverpoint Boulevard, Spokane, WA. Bid – Food Science & Human Nutrition Elevator Modernization
Project Scope: Food Science & Human Nutrition: Full modernization and upgrade of traction passenger elevator. Extent of elevator work is described in the schedules, and provisions as specified in the elevator specification section 14 29 00, and is non-inclusive of all possible requirements for a complete, proper, code compliant and fully functional installation. All work shall comply with all applicable National and State codes and procedures. Work shall comply with current code requirements for ASME A 17.1 and Washington State Elevator code, 296-96 WAC and other applicable codes, and in the event of conflicts between these standards, the more stringent standard shall prevail. Contract time shall be 300 days from Notice to Proceed Substantial Completion. Proposals must be based on this Contract time. Project Physical address: 1945 NE Ferdinand’s Lane, Pullman, WA 99164.
